Monica Aksamit Monica has been fencing Sabre for 12 years, 10 of which have been competing years. She was 13th at the Cadet World Championships 2007 in Belek, Turkey, took second place in the 2008 Junior World Championship team event in Sicily, Italy, and was 20th at the 2009 Senior World Championships in Antalya, Turkey. She competed on the Penn State NCAA Champion team in 2009, and took 5th in individuals. Monica has competed in numerous cadet, junior and senior world cups, and have won at least one cadet, junior and senior NAC. She took 1st in the 2009 Pan American Championship team event, and took bronze in individuals. Most recently she made top 16 at the 2010 NYC Senior World Cup.
