We had a great Open Foil event at the club this past Sunday! Kaveh Shafaie placed 1st after going 5-1 in the pool round. Seeded 4th after the pools, Kaveh won his first two DEs 15-9 and 15-11 to make the semi-finals. With a 15-6 victory in the semi-finals and 15-3 win in the finals, he finished in 1st and renewed his A22! We also had Ali Shafaie place 7th after a 5-1 pool round, before losing 15-11 to Kaveh. Nick Reznick had an undefeated pool round and was the #1 seed in the Direct Elimination, but lost in the table of 8 to finish 5th overall. We also had Xiang Meng (13th) and Drew Visconti (20th) compete, and they picked up great victories and experience.
